Who knew???

IMG_0066a That picture taking could be so much fun!! Even though I don't really know how to use it yet, I love, love, love my new camera!!

IMG_0062bWhat a difference it makes not having a delay after you press the button. Most of my pictures before were of the back of Maisie's head as my little energizer bunny isn't one to stay still.

IMG_0082cWe've had a quiet weekend at home and thankfully Maisie's antibiotics have kicked in and she's feeling so much better. Her energy level is back up, she's not whining as much and is less clingy.

IMG_0048d On the less positive side, I'm already missing the sleeping in until 7am or later and those three hour naps, oh my gosh, heaven!! Who knew that so much could be accomplished when the wee one naps for more than an hour and twenty minutes.

IMG_0091e We did spend a good part of this afternoon out in the back yard as it was such a beautiful day, sunny and with temps in the 70's. Maisie had fun blowing bubbles and I had the opportunity to play with my new camera. Now that Maisie is feeling better, we're looking forward to a busy and fun filled week with hopefully lots of new piccies.

Awesome pictures! Maisie is a beauty. I can't imagine EK sleeping 3 hours. She is finally sleeping all night in her bed. Have fun taking pictures.

Great job! I am going to be going back to a DSLR soon though I am looking at a Pentax.

A great book that is highly recommended by pros for learning all about the manual controls is Understanding Exposure by Bryan Peterson.

Sorry I missed your call last night, I'll be trying to catch up with you today!

  7. Olivia has the exact same sweater. Tell, tell all about your camera. Was it expensive. Is it easy to use?

I'm totally researching for a new one. I have a Sony digital right now but its one of those pocket ones and takes forever to click the picture.

I just love, love, love that second one. Blow that up real big (you can do that with all your megapixels!) and frame it somewhere in your house.

  12. Oooo...beautiful pics! What fun to have a new camer! Especially one without the delay. I hear you on that one! I've started saving my pennies to purchase a new one too after seeing first hand what a difference it makes when chasing toddlers! Sadly I'm in the 'too many back of head pics' too.

Glad your sweetie is feeling better and that you were able to spend some fun at the park.

Sorry I missed you last week. Hopefully next time! (I ended up getting a faster connection after rebooking my flights because of the snow so it worked out well to get home earlier too.)

Looking forward to seeing more pictures of Miss Maisie and her awesome mommy too!

  15. I have been 'lurking' (don't comment much) somewhat ever since you getting Maisie but I will 'out' myself... I was looking at the photos of her... I can't get over how much she has grown... she doesn't look like a 'baby' anymore... I had never really noticed it before... she is looking to cute... take care
