Tradition ~ Breakfast with Grandpa

One of the things that Maisie looks forward to doing in Aruba is having her breakfast with Grandpa.  The two of them share a private breakfast together each morning out on the patio.  It’s sweet to watch them together and nice too that my Father is up early and eats breakfast with Maisie so that I don’t have to rush out of bed…yes a special time for Maisie and a true holiday for me!

As I mentioned in my previous post, I had a couple of cooking challenge posts which automatically posted to Cook Lisa Cook while I was away.  The first one was my Secret Recipe Club submission, a delicious Texas Chicken with Lime Butter.  My second recipe post was for the Crazy Cooking Challenge where all the participants went looking out in blogland for what they considered the ultimate fudge recipe, made the recipe and posted it.  For me the ultimate fudge recipe was an insanely delicious Biscoff Fudge which didn’t last very long in our home.  Not only was it delicious but it was super simple to make with no real cooking and only five ingredients.  Click on the picture to be taken to the recipe.

  1. Maisie looks like a lanky teen in that top picture. Ack! But what a very sweet tradition with her grandfather.
